How to apply for funding

2014 Grant Application Process

To maximize our efficiency and impact in the community, we are no longer accepting unsolicited proposals or Letters of Intent.

If you received a grant from Xcel Energy in 2013 and are eligible to apply for a new grant, the representative from your state will contact you with a link to the grant application.

If you did not receive a grant from Xcel Energy in 2013, please follow these steps:

Step 1:  Review our funding guidelines and restrictions.

Step 2: If you believe you meet the priorities stated in our funding guidelines and restrictions, click here to take the online eligibility quiz.

Step 3: If you meet the basic eligibility criteria, you will be directed to the representative from your state for further discussion of your program. If you do not meet the basic eligibility criteria, you will not be able to request funds from Xcel Energy.

Choose your state

Our products and services differ based on state. Please select your state (or the state you're interested in) from the list to the left.

Why do our products and services differ based on state? Because our business is regulated by state. We have regulated operations in eight Western and Midwestern states. The different regulatory body for each state we serve determines what products and services we deliver in that state.
